All door panels and indoor monitors operate in local-first mode — calls between the entrance panel and unit monitors work over the local LAN without internet connectivity. Door release functions normally using local credentials. Remote smartphone app access and cloud management features automatically resume when connectivity is restored. The system never fails to open the door due to an internet outage. For maximum resilience, we recommend a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) on the PoE switch and an on-premise SIP server rather than cloud-only SIP for buildings where access reliability is critical.
