Middle East project route

Plan the route. Specify with confidence.

Set the destination, contracting party, system configuration and document scope before pricing. A disciplined brief prevents late changes across procurement, installation and handover.

Regional coordination paths

One brief. Three workstreams.

Commercial ownership, technical specification and handover preparation need to move together. Keeping them in one brief avoids avoidable revisions after a country or system decision changes.

Commercial alignment

Confirm country coverage, sales channel, buyer role and import structure before a commercial offer is issued.

Discuss commercial routing →

Technical coordination

Check topology, connection points, climate exposure and hardware version against the operating workflow at site.

Review compatible systems →

Handover readiness

Sequence required documents, Arabic deliverables, commissioning support and delivery milestones before the purchase order is released.

Match the system to the site, not just the category

Select the workflow first, then confirm the model, hardware revision and accessories against the door construction, network design, user roles and installation environment.

Video Intercom Systems

For apartments, villas and controlled entrances. Establish the power source, 2-wire or IP architecture, monitor quantity, gate interface and outdoor rating for each location.

Smart Locks

For residential, serviced-apartment and managed-property projects. Check door preparation, mortise compatibility, credential policy, user administration and the required online or offline workflow.

Access Control

For offices, campuses and multi-door buildings. Define reader protocol, controller capacity, credential policy, exit hardware and any required BMS, VMS or property-platform interface.

GCC environment

Specify for the installation environment

Solar gain, dust, coastal humidity and power quality affect the installation as much as the device. Confirm the enclosure, operating range, mounting position, cable route and backup requirement before releasing the selected model for site.

IP65 enclosure

Use IP65, or the rating required by the project, as an installation criterion. Record direct exposure, mounting height, drainage path and whether the unit sits at a gate, lobby or exterior door.

Operating temperature

For exposed positions, assess the rated temperature range against solar load and the temperature inside the enclosure. Ambient air data alone is not enough for door stations in full Gulf sun.

Power and backup

Document supply voltage, cable length, PoE budget and UPS or battery expectation. These inputs affect model selection, panel design and the commissioning sequence.

Certification routes

Verify approval requirements by SKU and destination

There is no single regional compliance route. The destination, selected SKU, hardware revision, wireless module and intended use determine the documents and approvals to review before import or tender submission.

Saudi Arabia — SABER & CITC

For Saudi projects, provide the selected model, wireless function and importer details before requesting a route review. SABER and telecom requirements are assessed against the actual SKU and import scenario.

UAE — TDRA & ESMA

For UAE projects, confirm hardware revision, wireless capability and intended use. TDRA and standards documentation are reviewed by model; approval for one variant should not be assumed for the full range.

Qatar, Kuwait, Oman & Bahrain

Each destination follows its own import and conformity process. State the country, importer and document need at enquiry stage so the selected product can be assessed without holding up the offer.

Arabic language support

Define the Arabic deliverables by touchpoint

Arabic requirements are rarely one item. Interface language, installer menus, tenant app, packaging, manuals, tender material and commissioning checklists may each require a different format, version or approval path. State the required touchpoints in the project brief.

UI and app language

RTL availability depends on the selected device, firmware and management platform. Confirm the required user-facing screens and operating workflow before the product line is committed.

Printed materials

Arabic labels, packaging inserts, quick-start guides and installation manuals can be scoped for qualifying models. Align the language version with the exact SKU and order configuration.

Tender documents

Arabic specifications, compliance statements and technical data sheets can be prepared for qualifying enquiries. Name the documents required by the consultant, developer or tender authority.

Country routes

Select the destination before compiling documents

UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan and other destinations can follow different importer, wireless, labeling and conformity processes. Requirements are checked against the destination and the selected SKU.

FAQ

Middle East Project Questions

Arabic scope should be stated by touchpoint: device UI, app or platform, packaging labels, installation manuals and tender documents. Availability depends on the selected model, firmware and order configuration, so these items should be listed separately in the project brief.

For outdoor positions, record the project-required enclosure rating, direct-sun exposure, mounting location, cable route and local power arrangement. Where the site requires it, use IP65 or higher and verify that the selected model’s rated operating range suits the actual exposure rather than the ambient weather figure alone.

For a Saudi enquiry, the route is assessed from the specific SKU, its technical features, wireless function, intended use and importer details. Provide the exact model and the document requested by the project team so the applicable product and shipment documentation can be reviewed before the order is placed.

No. A UAE documentation route depends on the hardware revision, wireless function, frequency characteristics and intended use of the selected model. Confirm the exact variant and its technical configuration before requesting approval or conformity documentation.

Standard supply begins at 200 units; OEM private label begins at 500 units; ODM custom hardware begins at 1,000 units. Final pricing, lead time, product mix and document scope are confirmed after the destination, selected configuration and order profile have been reviewed.
