Current CE, FCC, and SASO certificates. Test reports from CNAS-accredited labs. DoC issued to your brand. EU Authorized Representative introduction. 11 years export compliance.
Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU) for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU). EMC Directive (2014/30/EU). All three required for wireless smart locks sold in EU.
FCC Part 15 Subpart B (unintentional radiator) and Subpart C (intentional radiator for Wi-Fi/BLE). Required for any wireless product sold in the US. FCC ID can be transferred to OEM partner's Grantee Code.
SASO Certificate of Conformity required for import into KSA. Issued via licensed Saudi importer or SASO-approved body. We provide the technical documentation package; the CoC application is filed by the importer.
UKCA mark replaces CE for UK market post-Brexit. Same test standards as CE. A UK Responsible Person address on the product and DoC is required. We provide UK RP introduction service.
RoHS 3 (EU 2015/863) restricts hazardous substances — test report from SGS/BV/Intertek. CB Scheme (IEC 60950/62368) is an international mutual recognition framework — one test allows national certifications in 50+ countries.
EN 12209 Grade 3 mechanical security test (European standard for locks). Required by some European housing authorities and high-security commercial tenders. Test reports available for X2-B model.
Provided to OEM partners under NDA alongside hardware order. Allows you to sell legally in target markets from day one.
Existing certifications cover our standard product line. ODM (custom hardware) follows a new certification process.
| Scenario | Cert Status | Lead Time |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Trudian model (OEM relabel) | Existing certs — immediate | 0 weeks |
| Minor ODM change (color, label, firmware) | Declaration update only | 1–2 weeks |
| Hardware change (antenna, PCB revision) | Partial retest required | 3–5 weeks |
| Full ODM (new product) | Full certification | 6–10 weeks |
For OEM partners who want the FCC authorization under their own company's Grantee Code (not Trudian's FCC ID), a Class II permissive change application is filed — adds ~4–6 weeks and applies to US market supply only.
CE · FCC · SASO · UKCA · RoHS 3. Current certificates, test reports, DoC template, and labeling guide. Available under NDA with hardware order. Request via email or WhatsApp.
CE (RED 2014/53/EU for radio, LVD 2014/35/EU for electrical safety, EMC 2014/30/EU), FCC Part 15 for USA, UKCA for Great Britain, SASO CoC and CST type approval for Saudi Arabia, RoHS 3 (2011/65/EU), IP65/IP67 ingress protection, and EN 12209 Grade 3 mechanical performance. CB scheme test reports are available for multi-market certification from a single test report, reducing cost and timeline when certifying for multiple markets simultaneously. Full documentation package provided under NDA with hardware order at no additional charge.
Yes — standard OEM path. The Declaration of Conformity is issued with Trudian as manufacturer and your company as brand owner and EU Responsible Person. The CE mark on the product and packaging shows your brand name and EU address. FCC authorization can be transferred to your Grantee Code for US supply — this adds 4-6 weeks and requires you to have an FCC Grantee Code (obtainable from FCC directly). For the UK, your company signs the UKCA Declaration of Conformity as the UK Responsible Person. We provide editable DoC templates for all markets as part of the OEM documentation package.
Yes — any non-EU manufacturer of radio equipment must designate an EU Authorised Representative whose name and address appears in the Declaration of Conformity and on the product label or packaging under RED Article 19. If you have an EU entity (company registration in any EU27 member state), you can act as your own Responsible Person. If not, we introduce vetted EU Authorised Representative services (typically 400-800 EUR per year per product family) in Germany, Netherlands, and UK. The AR does not need to be in the same country as your customers — one EU AR covers all EU27 markets.
For standard Trudian models: certificates already exist and we provide copies immediately under NDA — no additional testing required for standard OEM orders. For ODM hardware with changes to PCB, antenna, or radio module: CE RED testing 3-5 weeks at an accredited EU lab, FCC testing 4-6 weeks at an FCC-accredited TCB. SASO CoC: 2-4 weeks after document submission to a licensed Saudi importer via an approved CAB. UKCA runs in parallel with CE testing using the same test reports. EN 12209 mechanical testing: 4-8 weeks if new testing required for hardware variants.
CE marking for radio products under RED requires third-party testing by an accredited laboratory — it cannot be self-declared by the manufacturer. The manufacturer must obtain test reports from an ILAC-accredited lab confirming the product meets applicable harmonised standards (ETSI EN 300 328 for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, ETSI EN 301 489 for EMC). The Declaration of Conformity is then signed by the manufacturer or EU Authorised Representative based on those test reports. Trudian's existing CE test reports from accredited labs (TÜV, SGS, or Bureau Veritas) can be used as the technical basis for your own DoC — you are not paying for new testing, just for the DoC preparation and EU AR service.
The OEM certification documentation package includes: CE Declaration of Conformity template (editable, with your company details), CE RED test reports from accredited laboratory (covers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and EMC), RoHS compliance declaration, EN 12209 Grade 3 mechanical test certificate, FCC authorization certificate and test reports, SASO CoC and CST approval for Saudi Arabia (where applicable), UKCA Declaration of Conformity template for UK, IP rating test report (IP65 or IP67), and ISO 9001 factory certificate. All documents provided in English. German-language versions of DoC and technical documentation available for EU market on request.
Any change to the radio module, antenna design, or PCB layout invalidates existing CE RED and FCC certifications — new testing is mandatory. Mechanical changes (housing color, material, logo) do not affect radio certification but may require updated IP rating testing if sealing is modified. Firmware changes that do not affect radio parameters do not require re-certification. Before committing to ODM hardware changes, request a certification impact assessment from our technical team — we can advise which changes require re-testing and which can be covered by a supplementary technical assessment, minimizing additional certification cost and timeline.
