Trudian
Europe market / project route

Specify the route before selecting the system.

Set the country of first sale, installation context and delivery owner before a model is proposed. The first review aligns the selected Trudian configuration with the stated topology, data boundary and evidence request.

Market parameters

Plan by country, privacy and retrofit context

Europe is a set of national routes. Establish the destination and importer before choosing the product configuration or document set.

Coverage

EU, UK and non-EU European destinations assessed by the country of first sale.

Best fit

Distributors, installers, system integrators, developers and managed-property operators.

Typical use

Residential retrofit, MDU, offices, campuses and managed residential property.

Confirm first

Destination, importer, language, data flow, labelling, installation method and support owner.

Buyer route

Routes for European buyers

State the country, procurement role and project boundary. That allows the product, installation and documentation workstreams to be separated before a quotation is prepared.

Distributors & Dealers

Define the stocked range, destination countries, local-language materials, first-line support and reorder model.

System Integrators

Review door count, topology, power, network, interfaces and the handover to any existing access platform.

Property & Project Teams

Set the use case, user workflow, phased rollout, commissioning owner and operational handover for each site.

Product scope

Three lines to scope by model

Video Intercom Systems

Door stations, indoor monitors and retrofit or MDU topologies assessed against the site wiring and entrance design.

Smart Locks

Residential, serviced-apartment and managed-property workflows assessed by door preparation, credential method and operating model.

Access Control

Office, community and multi-door deployments assessed for controller architecture, credentials, network and connection boundary.

Country route

European routes differ by country, installation standard and channel

Do not treat Europe as one approval or installation route. Wiring practice, language, importer obligations, data responsibilities and technical evidence vary by destination and by the selected product.

Germany & DACH region

Start with the installed topology. Confirm the existing 2-wire or IP interface, German-language deliverables, the responsibility for commissioning and any KNX or building-management handoff.

France & Southern Europe

Check the site wiring and door-release interface before defining the product set. Specify the country language, property type and whether the channel partner or installer owns commissioning and support.

UK — UKCA post-Brexit

Set the exact destination first: Great Britain and Northern Ireland can follow different routes. Map the importer, labelling, technical file and applicable marking evidence to the selected SKU and intended use.

Eastern Europe & emerging channels

Confirm the importing party, local-language materials, installer capability and after-sales handover. Support, spare-parts and escalation ownership should be defined before launch.

Conformity and data

Resolve certification and data requirements early

Connected access equipment can create separate product, data and importer workstreams. Assess the selected SKU, its functions, deployment model and destination before requesting a document package.

Product conformity — RED, LVD, EMC

Radio functions, powered hardware and electromagnetic behaviour may each affect the route. Identify the applicable requirements for the selected model and intended use rather than assuming a common route.

GDPR — data roles and flow

Where a deployment processes video, access logs, biometric data or app credentials, define the controller, processors, storage location, retention policy and site-level privacy review.

WEEE, REACH & packaging

Producer registration, restricted substances and packaging labels are assessed against the country of first sale. Identify the responsible importer or producer before commercial release.

Documentation checkpoints

These checkpoints do not constitute a market approval. Evidence is reviewed against the SKU, hardware and software version, destination and deployment.

RED / radio functions
LVD / powered models
EMC / compatibility
RoHS / substances
WEEE / importer route
UK route / marking review
CE

UK ROUTE
Destination route review
Documentation boundary

Confirm documentation by SKU and country

Provide the destination, selected hardware and software version, intended use and required evidence. The inquiry can then be checked against the applicable importer, radio, label, data and conformity workstreams.

B2B inquiry

Information needed before quotation

Send these four inputs so the proposed product, document route and project boundary can be reviewed before pricing is issued.

1

Market

Destination country, importer status and buyer role.

2

Project

Product line, site type, doors or units, and retrofit or new-build scope.

3

Requirements

Language, credentials, data flow, interfaces and requested documents.

4

Timeline

Procurement stage, target rollout, installer readiness and expected quantity.

Include the SKU, destination and any requested document so the first response can address the correct route.

Regional FAQ

Questions to settle before quotation

It is determined per SKU, hardware and software version, functions, destination and intended use. Radio capability, mains or low-voltage power, electromagnetic behaviour and product category can affect the evidence required. Share the selected model and project context so the applicable document scope can be reviewed.

Start by separating Great Britain from Northern Ireland, then identify the importer of record, product category, intended use and labelling requirements. Do not assume that an EU technical file alone defines the UK placement route. Marking and representative requirements are confirmed for the specified SKU and destination.

The roles are determined by the deployment. The party deciding why and how personal data is processed is commonly the controller, while the role of the property operator, installer, platform provider and hardware supplier must be assessed for that project. Trudian can provide relevant technical information; the responsible project parties make the legal and operational determination.

Not by default. Language, importer or producer registration, labelling, national requirements and non-EU routes can change the package. Use a shared evidence base only after the destination country, importer and selected SKU have been checked.

Standard supply starts at 200 units, OEM private label at 500 units and ODM custom hardware at 1,000 units. Product mix, pricing, production schedule and documentation scope are confirmed after the country and product profile are defined.
