Trudian
Smart Lock OEM & Private Label

Smart Lock OEM Supplier for Distributors and Project Buyers

A useful OEM quote starts with the lock model, door fit, app route and destination. Order volume sets the programme; the configuration determines which evidence must be checked.

Start with the selected model: We review the lock body, hardware or radio revision, firmware, app route, packaging, destination and order range. The written quotation defines the scope; it does not establish universal door compatibility or certification.

Smart Lock OEM Supplier Scope

Trudian OEM and private-label scope is reviewed by selected model, approved configuration, branding scope, firmware route, app route, document requirements and destination market.

Start with the selected model and door

Send the lock body, backset, door thickness, handing, cylinder or mortise, power source, fire or emergency requirements and installation photos where available. A family name does not confirm fit. Map the proposed hardware to the target door and record any unresolved installation conditions.

OEM vs ODM vs Private Label

OEM starts from the selected model and approved configuration. Private label focuses on agreed branding, packaging and manuals for that model. ODM introduces development changes that need a separate feasibility, tooling and ownership review.

Standard supply

Existing model, standard packaging and normal documentation. Planning baseline: starts at 200 units.

OEM / private label

Approved logo, packaging, language, selected interface or app route by model. Planning baseline: starts at 500 units.

ODM development

Deeper mechanical, electronic, firmware or industrial-design changes with feasibility and ownership review. Planning baseline: starts at 1,000 units.

Written quotation

Confirms the final model, configuration, samples, lead time, documents, ownership and destination assumptions.

Logo, packaging and manual customization

List the logo files, languages, labels, carton, manual, accessory pack and barcode requirements. Private-label packaging and manuals are reviewed against the selected model, print route, destination labels and order range. For a private-label app, record the app name, account structure, supported functions, cloud route, firmware dependency and sample approval. The white-label access app route is reviewed with the selected hardware and firmware; its availability depends on that scope.

Tuya, TTLock and custom app route

State whether the selected lock uses Tuya, TTLock or a custom app route. Confirm the exact gateway or cloud account, supported credentials, API entitlement, region, user roles and offline behaviour for the selected hardware and firmware.

Firmware, API and cloud boundary

Record firmware ownership, update responsibility, API endpoints or SDK scope, authentication, event coverage, cloud region, data retention and exit or transfer requirements. Platform names alone do not establish that the required workflow is available.

Door type, mortise and lock-body confirmation

  • Hardware and radio revision, firmware branch and update path.
  • Door body, cylinder or mortise, power, emergency override and installation constraints.
  • Credential types, gateway or hub, app permissions and offline behaviour.
  • Test reports, labels, manuals, declarations and destination-market documents by selected model.
  • Sample tests, production inspection, nonconformance handling and change-control owner.

The certification support route organizes documents and identifies gaps. An existing report does not cover a changed configuration automatically.

Certification document review

Documentation, certification scope and compatibility are reviewed by selected model, configuration, importer role and destination market. Match declarations, test reports, labels and manuals to the supplied configuration before production release.

Warranty, spare parts and after-sales responsibility

Define the warranty period, evidence required, repair or replacement route, firmware support, spare parts, battery or lock-body service, first-line owner and escalation path. Record these terms in the written quotation for the selected model and market.

MOQ and Sample Route

Use 200 units as the standard-supply baseline, 500 units for OEM or private-label planning and 1,000 units for ODM development planning. These are programme entry points. Confirm the final order range, sample count, tooling, lead time and document scope after reviewing the model and destination. Agree the sample configuration and acceptance checklist, test the sample on the target door with the agreed app route, and record approval or unresolved changes before production. See the MOQ planning guide and the OEM/ODM FAQ for the current planning framework.

RFQ Checklist

  • Target country, sales channel, annual volume and first-order estimate.
  • Lock body, door thickness, backset, handing, cylinder or mortise and power conditions.
  • Brand assets, packaging, language, labels, manual and barcode requirements.
  • App, gateway, firmware, credential and integration requirements.
  • Certification, test reports, labeling and importer or brand-owner role.
  • Sample deadline, launch date, inspection method and unresolved acceptance points.

FAQ

What is the MOQ for smart lock OEM?

Standard supply starts at 200 units. OEM and private-label programmes start at 500 units for planning, while ODM development starts at 1,000 units. Final MOQ and pricing are confirmed by selected model, customization scope, packaging route, destination market and written quotation.

What is the MOQ for private label smart locks?

Private-label planning starts at 500 units. The final quantity depends on the selected lock body, logo and packaging route, firmware or app scope, destination documents and written quotation.

Can smart locks be supplied with Tuya or TTLock?

Tuya or TTLock may be available on selected hardware and firmware routes. Confirm the exact lock, gateway, app account, API entitlement, cloud region and required workflow before quotation.

Can the logo, packaging and manual be customized?

Approved logo, packaging, language and manual changes can be reviewed for the selected model. Artwork, print quantity, labels, samples and destination requirements are confirmed before production.

What should distributors confirm before requesting a smart lock OEM quotation?

Provide the target country, door profile, lock body or mortise, credential policy, app route, model, order range, branding scope, sample plan, document needs and support owner.

Are certification documents the same for every destination market?

No. Documentation, certification scope and compatibility are reviewed by selected model, configuration, importer role and destination market. Existing reports must be matched to the supplied configuration.

Send the model and programme inputs for review.

Include the target door, model, brand route, country and first-order estimate.

Smart lock OEM decision brief: door fit, change depth and evidence

A smart-lock OEM request becomes priceable when door fit, credential route, change depth, destination and after-sales ownership are separated. Use a staged sample path instead of treating a quantity or platform name as a finished specification.

Checks before shortlisting

  1. Door thickness, backset, mortise, handing and emergency fallback precede branding or app discussion.
  2. Tuya, TTLock, BLE, Wi-Fi and Zigbee are compared by account, gateway, firmware and exit owner.
  3. 1 sample, 10-unit pilot, 100-unit pilot and 1,000-unit release are separate gates.
  4. 12 V DC, 24 V DC, battery and mechanical fallback are recorded against the selected lock route.
  5. CE, RED, FCC and UKCA files name the SKU, radio module, revision and destination.
  6. Logo, artwork, packaging, manual, API, cloud, tooling and NRE carry individual owners.
  7. A 2.4 GHz or app claim remains pending until the supplied revision passes a witnessed test.

Implementation and handover

  1. Freeze the door survey and selected model in the engineering sample brief.
  2. Test fit, lock cycles, credentials, app invitation, low-power fallback and emergency access.
  3. Use the pilot to verify artwork, manual language, firmware, account region and RMA record.
  4. Attach certification, label, packaging, revision and support files to the release gate.
  5. Submit the complete RFQ with quantity, tooling, destination and service assumptions.

Risks to resolve before supply

  • A model that fits one door body may fail on a different backset, handing or mortise.
  • An app brand does not define API, cloud, account or data-exit responsibility.
  • A 1,000-unit forecast cannot replace the 1-sample and 10-unit acceptance gates.
  • A certificate or label from a different radio revision creates an evidence gap.

Before requesting a quote

Approve the OEM route when the selected model, door record, staged samples, market file and RMA owner agree. Keep all changes in the RFQ and release record. Share the selected model, configuration and destination market through the project RFQ route.
