Smart access projects across Asian channels
Start with the destination, buyer role and installation boundary. The route review then defines the product configuration, importer workstream and documentation inputs for the stated project.
Establish the inputs that determine the route
Confirm these points before selecting an SKU, requesting technical evidence or comparing commercial terms.
Market Entry & Importer
Country of first sale, importer of record and required evidence.
Commercial Owner
Distributor, integrator, asset owner or OEM/ODM decision-maker.
Site & Integration
Door or unit count, power, network, interfaces and existing controller.
Language & Platform
UI language, manuals, credentials, app hosting and property-platform requirements.
Identify who owns the next technical decision
The route changes according to who selects the range, designs the system or defines the product. Establish that responsibility before the commercial review.
Distributor Route
Set the destination countries, core range, language pack and first-line technical owner.
Integrator Route
Define topology, wiring, protocol, acceptance criteria and platform handover.
OEM / ODM Route
Define product scope, brand assets, app and packaging requirements, quantity and decision window.
Select the product system by project constraint
Video Intercom Systems
Door stations, indoor monitors and MDU or retrofit topology specified against the existing wiring and entrance configuration.
Smart Locks
Residential, managed-property and common-area workflows specified by door type, credentials and operating responsibility.
Access Control
Office, community and multi-door control specified by controller topology, credentials, network and platform interface.
Set the destination before selecting the channel model
Asia is not one market route. Confirm the country of first sale, importer of record, language set, power and network conditions, and installation responsibility. Then determine whether the project fits a standard, OEM or ODM scope.
Keep language, installation and commercial scope separate
A country choice does not settle the project. The quotation brief still needs a defined language and app workflow, an installation boundary, and a commercial owner. Treat these as separate workstreams before an SKU is shortlisted.
Language & platform
Set the UI, manuals and support language. Confirm the credential journey, app hosting and any connection to the property platform before configuration.
Installation & commissioning
Record door construction, power, network, indoor or outdoor exposure, and the party responsible for commissioning and acceptance.
Commercial scope
State standard, OEM or ODM intent, target quantity, packaging owner, importer and decision gate before comparing models or pricing.
Questions that affect specification and quotation
Only after the country, SKU and deployment are checked. UI and document language, wireless route, power, app hosting, importer obligations and installation method can vary by market.
Provide the destination, product family, expected quantity, branding, packaging, app workflow and required evidence. OEM projects start at 500 units; ODM starts at 1,000 units. Final scope depends on the model and target market.
Send the inputs needed for a workable quotation
Destination & buyer
Country of first sale, importer status and the buyer’s commercial role.
System scope
Product line, door or unit count, site type and existing interfaces.
Technical & delivery inputs
Language, credentials, app or platform, required documents and procurement window.
Match the supply route to the level of change required
Standard supply is for an existing configuration under the buyer’s current commercial model. OEM applies where branding, packaging or selected documentation changes are required. ODM is for a jointly defined product scope involving hardware, software or industrial design.
Starting quantities are 200 units for standard supply, 500 for OEM and 1,000 for ODM. Send the destination, intended application, product family, quantity and required documents by WhatsApp or email. The final proposal is checked against the SKU, customization and target market.
