Network loss does not interrupt local access decisions — the panel continues granting or denying access based on locally stored credentials and schedules. Each door relay is independently configurable as fail-safe (unlocks on power loss — for life safety egress) or fail-secure (locks on power loss — for high-security areas). Battery backup input accepts 12V DC to keep the panel and door hardware operational during power outages. Events are buffered locally and synced to the management software when connectivity is restored.

The OSDP v2 Biometric extension (OSDP v2.2) carries fingerprint templates or facial match results over AES-128 encrypted RS-485, enabling on-reader biometric matching with the result transmitted securely to the panel.
